New Delhi: In a notable update to the BCCI 2025 cricket schedule, the Board of Control for Cricket in India has reshuffled several venues for the upcoming home season to enhance fan experience and accommodate stadium renovations.
🏏 Test Series Venue Updates
India will play two Test series in 2025 — one against West Indies and another against South Africa.
- The first Test vs West Indies will now be played in Ahmedabad (October 2–6).
- The second Test moves to Arun Jaitley Stadium, New Delhi (October 10–14), replacing the previously assigned Kolkata.
However, in an exciting turnaround, Eden Gardens in Kolkata will host the first Test vs South Africa (November 14–18), marking a grand return to red-ball cricket at the iconic venue.
- The second Test vs South Africa will be held in Guwahati (November 22–26).
🏏 ODI & T20I Series
The ODI series is scheduled between November 30 and December 6, with matches set to take place in Ranchi, Raipur, and Visakhapatnam.
The T20I series will be held from December 9 to 19 across five different venues, to be announced shortly.
🏏 Women’s ODI Series Changes
In the women’s ODI series, New Chandigarh and Delhi have replaced the originally planned venues like Chennai, due to ongoing renovation work at several stadiums.
